Valve, Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR), 2.8L Diesel: Installation: Installation

1. Clean the gasket mating surfaces.
2. Position a new EGR valve gasket (1, 3) onto manifold (2).

3. Install EGR valve. Tighten bolts (1) to 15 N.m (133 in. lbs.).

4. Connect the EGR valve wire harness connector (1).
5. Install the coolant recovery bottle. Refer to BOTTLE, COOLANT RECOVERY, INSTALLATION .
6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
7. Install the front lower splash shield.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
