Removable Top, Hard: Installation: Installation

CAUTION:

Lifting the main hard top on or off will require the assistance of four people, one in each corner. Failure to lift the top as instructed may result in hard top damage.

  1. Install the main hard top (4) by lifting evenly, steadily and without flexing. Place onto the vehicle while lining up the alignment pins.
    CAUTION:

    Make sure the B and C-pillar seals are not folded up and are positioned correctly.

  2. Install the six side bolts (5).
  3. On four door models, install the two front bolts (3).
  4. Tighten the side bolts (5) from front to rear to 8 N.m (71 in. lbs.).
  5. On four door models, tighten the front bolts (3) to 8 N.m (71 in. lbs.).
    NOTE:

    Make sure all modular top latches are in the open position.

  6. Position the modular tops (1) and (2) onto the vehicle with the right side top (1) being installed before the left side (2).

  7. With the modular tops (1) and (6) installed correctly onto the alignment pins, secure the front latches (8).
  8. Install and secure the rear thumb bolts (7).
  9. Secure the rear clamps (3) fully.
  10. Secure the center clamps (2) fully.

  11. On the left rear corner of the hard top interior (1) connect the hardtop wire harness connector (2).
  12. Connect the hardtop washer hose to the rear washer nozzle nipple (3).
