Diagnostic Test

TEST RADIO 

1. With the scan tool, record the DTCs.
2. Erase the DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition off.
4. Turn the ignition on and the radio in Satellite mode.
5. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs again.
6. Put the satellite radio in seek up mode for two loops around the band cycle.
7. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.

   Does the scan display: B1430-Satellite Radio Antenna Internal Performance as Active?

   Yes 

   • Replace the Satellite Radio in accordance with the Service Information.
   • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

   No 

   • Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and poor fit.
   • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
