U0126-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (SAS)





For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information.

- When Monitored:

- With the ignition on
- Battery voltage between 10 and 16 volts
- Ignition Off Draw (IOD) fused installed.
- Set Condition:
If the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) fails to receive bus messages from the Steering Angle Sensor for approximately 500 ms.





VERIFY DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) IS ACTIVE

NOTE: Make sure the IOD fuse is installed and battery voltage is between 10 and 16 volts before proceeding.

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.

Is the U0126-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (SAS) DTC active?

Yes

- Testing and Inspection and perform the U0126-Lost Communication with Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) diagnostic procedure.

No

- and perform the Stored Lost Communication DTCs diagnostic procedure Stored Lost Communication DTCs.
