NOTE:

It is not necessary to remove the liftgate to replace one or both hinges. The hinges can be replaced one at a time.

NOTE:

A suitable body sealant should be used when removing or moving the hinges.

Support liftgate on a suitable lifting device.
Disconnect liftgate harness and washer hose.

Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the location of the hinge to aid installation.
Remove the two bolts that secure the liftgate hinge (1) to the liftgate.

Carefully, move down headliner and remove two nuts and one fastener. Remove hinge from vehicle.
