Rear Output Shaft Extension Housing Seal - Installation

INSTALLATION

Special Tools:















1. Clean fluid residue from sealing surface and inspect for defects.
2. Using Seal Installer (2) and Universal Handle (1), install seal in rear extension.
3. Install the companion flange onto the output shaft.
4. Install a new companion flange nut and tighten to 176-271 Nm (130-200 ft.lbs.).
5. Install propeller shaft. Drive Shaft - Installation
6. Verify proper transfer case fluid level.
7. Lower vehicle.
