Pitman Arm - Removal

REMOVAL

Special Tools:










1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the track bar retaining bolt (2) at the frame and lower the track bar (1).





3. Remove the pitman arm (1) retaining nut at the drag link (3).
4. Using the Ball Joint Remover (2) or equivalent, separate the pitman arm (1) from the drag link (3).





5. Mark the steering gear (1) shaft and pitman arm (2) for installation reference.
6. Remove the pitman arm retaining nut (3).





7. Using the Ball Joint Press (1) or equivalent, remove the pitman arm (2) from the steering gear Pitman Arm - Removal.
