REMOVAL





The EVAP canister (1) is located under the vehicle next to the rear prop shaft. The ESIM switch (2) is attached to the EVAP canister.





1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Clean the dirt or debris from the canister vacuum lines.
4. Disconnect the ESIM switch (2) electrical connector (4).
5. Disconnect the ESIM switch (2) fresh air hose (1).
6. Disconnect the fuel tank vapor line quick-connect fitting (3) at the EVAP canister Service and Repair.





7. Remove the two retaining bolts (2) at the front of the vapor canister mounting bracket (1).
8. Remove the bolt at the rear of the vapor canister mounting bracket.





9. Using a flat blade screw driver (3), lift the locking tab (2) and remove the EVAP canister (4) from the mounting bracket (1).
