Crankshaft Main Bearing(s) - Removal

REMOVAL

Special Tools:










1. Remove the oil pan. Engine Oil Pan - Removal
2. Identify main bearing caps before removal.
3. Remove bearing caps one at a time. Remove upper half of bearing by inserting Remover into the oil hole of crankshaft.
4. Slowly rotate crankshaft clockwise, forcing out upper half of bearing shell.
