Vehicle Theft Security Hood Ajar Switch - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Unlatch and open the hood.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. From below the mounting tab of the front end module carrier (3) on the left side of the engine compartment, compress the sides of the adapter (1) far enough to push the hood ajar switch (2) and adapter up through the mounting tab.
4. Pull the switch and adapter up through the hole in the mounting tab far enough to access and disconnect the wire harness connector (4) from the switch connector receptacle.
5. From the bottom of the adapter, squeeze the two switch latch tabs together and push the switch up through the adapter.
6. Remove the hood ajar switch from the vehicle.
