Diagnostic Trouble Code Retrieval

To check the EMIC/CCN for a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), begin with the ignition switch in the LOCK position and cycle the key in the switch three times within three seconds before leaving the key in the ON position (LOCK, ON, LOCK, ON, LOCK, ON). If there are any active codes they will be reported in the EVIC dot matrix OLED display. If there are no active codes, the message NO DTCs  is displayed. A DTC may also be retrieved and checked using a diagnostic scan tool. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic service information.
