Inspection - Oil Pump Drive Chain

- Remove timing chain cover. See REMOVAL .
- Remove oil pan. See REMOVAL .
- Measure the distance between the tensioner body and the guide shoe as shown in illustration.
- If the distance is 10.1 mm (0.397 in.) or greater, replace the chain.
