NOTE: This procedure is for in-vehicle service with camshafts installed.

NOTE: Camshaft tappets must be replaced if cylinder head or camshafts are replaced.

Remove cylinder head cover. See REMOVAL .
Remove camshafts. See REMOVAL .

Remove camshaft tappets (1).
Repeat removal procedure for each camshaft tappet (1).
If reusing, mark each camshaft tappet for reassembly in it's original position.
