SHAFT, Select: Removal: Removal

Disassemble transaxle.
With the transaxle disassembled, remove the select shaft seal.
Using snap-ring pliers, remove the snap ring (3) at the select shaft bore. See Fig 1.
Push the select shaft (2) in the case and remove the select assembly.
