Intake Manifold

  1. Install intake manifold gaskets.
  2. Install intake manifold.
  3. Install intake manifold retaining bolts and tighten in sequence shown in to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.).
  4. Install left and right radio suppressor straps.
  5. Install throttle body assembly.
  6. Install fuel rail. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  7. Install ignition coils. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  8. Install coolant temperature sensor. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  9. Connect electrical connectors for the following components:
    1. Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor
    2. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC)
    3. Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor
    4. Coolant Temperature (CTS) Sensor
    5. Ignition coils
    6. Fuel injectors
  10. Install top oil dipstick tube retaining bolt and ground strap.
  11. Install generator including electrical connections. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  12. Connect Vapor purge hose, Brake booster hose, Positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose.
  13. Install air conditioning compressor including electrical connections.
  14. Fill cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  15. Install accessory drive belt. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  16. Install air cleaner housing and throttle body resonator. Tighten resonator bolts 5 N.m (44 in. lbs.).
  17. Connect negative cable to battery.
