C121A-STEERING ANGLE SENSOR NOT INITIALIZED

- When Monitored:
Continuously.

- Set Condition:
The Steering Control Module (SCM) has detected a code error from the Steering Angle Sensor.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC IS ACTIVE
Ignition on, engine not running.
Turn the steering wheel from stop to stop at least three times.
With the scan tool, select erase all active DTCs.
With the scan tool, view active DTCs.
Is the DTC status Active at this time?

Yes

- Replace the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS).

No

- Test Complete.
