SWING GATE

A swing gate ajar switch is standard equipment on this vehicle. The switch is concealed within and integral to the swing gate latch unit. The switch is a momentary leaf contact-type unit that is actuated by the swing gate latch mechanism. An integral connector receptacle on the swing gate latch connects the swing gate ajar switch to the vehicle electrical system through the swing gate wire harness.

The swing gate ajar switch cannot be adjusted or repaired and, if ineffective or damaged, the swing gate latch unit must be replaced.
