Installation








INSTALLATION






1. Thoroughly clean sealing surfaces of any oil, dirt, or original sealer, and apply a 1/8 inch bead (1) of Mopar� Engine RTV GEN II at the parting line of the chain case cover (1) and the rear seal retainer (1).
2. Position a new pan gasket on oil pan.






3. Install oil pan and tighten fasteners (1) to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.).






4. Install the structural cover and tighten fasteners (1,2).
5. Lower vehicle and install oil level indicator.






6. Install new oil filter (2).
7. Fill crankcase with oil to proper level.
8. Connect negative cable to battery.
