Axle Shaft

  1. Clean axle shaft and apply a thin film of Mopar Wheel Bearing Grease or equivalent to the shaft splines and seal contact surface.
  2. Install hub bearing and brake shield on axle shaft.
  3. Install axle shaft (2) with hub bearing (1) through steering knuckle and into differential side gears.

  4. Install three hub bearing bolts (1) through steering knuckle (2) and tighten to 102 N.m (75 ft. lbs.).

  5. Install hub nut (1) on axle shaft (2) and tighten to 136 N.m (100 ft. lbs.).
  6. Install wheel speed sensor.
  7. Install brake components.
