Brake Pedal

  1. Remove negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the steering column opening cover.

  3. Remove brake lamp switch and discard  .
  4. Remove retainer clip securing booster push rod (6) to brake pedal (2).
  5. Disconnect the master cylinder/clutch push rod (7) from the pedal (1).
  6. Remove the mounting bolts (3) securing the shaft.
    NOTE: Clutch pedal is spring loaded (4), Care should be taken when shaft is being removed.
  7. Slide the pedal shaft inboard until pedals fall free.
  8. Remove pedal bushings (5) if they are to be replaced.
