NOTE: The parking brake is self-adjusting, it can not be adjusted.

Remove the center floor console. Refer to REMOVAL .
Pull up on the spring until the tab on the lever passes the tab on the cable guide (3) and install a punch (2) in the hole on the side then release. See Fig 1.
The park brake system is now locked out to perform necessary repairs.
