Diagnostic Test

  1. 1) CHECK FOR DTCs IN THE BCM 

    Turn the ignition on.

    With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.

    Does the scan tool display any DTCs? 

    Yes 

    1. Diagnose and repair the DTC(s) Refer to the DTC INDEX Table in the appropriate article for the diagnostic procedure(s).
    2. Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - 1A .

    No 

    1. Go to step  2).
  2. 2) CHECK LOW BEAM HEADLAMP OPERATION 

    Turn the Low Beam Headlamps on.

    Do the Low Beam Headlamps operate properly? 

    Yes 

    1. Go to step  3).

    No 

    1. . Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING for Headlamp related diagnostic procedures.
    2. Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - 1A .
  3. 3) VERIFY THE BCM IS PROGRAMMED WITH THE CORRECT COUNTRY CODE SETTING 

    With the scan tool in BCM, check the country code setting.

    Is the BCM programmed with the correct country code setting? 

    Yes 

    1. Replace and program the BCM in accordance with the Service Information.
    2. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST .

    No 

    1. Program the BCM with the correct country code setting.
    2. Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - 1A .
