Crankshaft Oil Seal-Front

  1. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
  2. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove A/C compressor mounting fasteners and set the compressor aside. Refer to REMOVAL .
  4. Drain the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  5. Remove the upper radiator hose.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector for fan mounted inside radiator shroud.
  7. Remove the radiator cooling fan. Refer to REMOVAL .
  8. Remove crankshaft damper bolt.
  9. Remove damper using Crankshaft Insert 8513 (1) and Three Jaw Puller 1026 (2).

  10. Using the Seal Remover 8511 (1), remove crankshaft front seal.
