Crankshaft Oil Seal - Rear: Removal

2 - REAR CRANKSHAFT SUPPORT

3 - DOWEL PIN

4 - PAINT OR SCRIBE MARK

This must be done with either the engine or transmission removed from vehicle.

Remove flex plate/flywheel assembly (Refer to ENGINE/ENGINE BLOCK/FLEX PLATE - REMOVAL) . .
Paint mark or scribe a witness mark on the engine block to be used for alignment purposes during assembly. See Fig 1.
Pry out old crankshaft oil seal.
