DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION AND PROCEDURES CHART (AIR BAG INDICATOR INOPERATIVE)

TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY

NOTE: The Instrument Cluster Air Bag Indicator will not illuminate during the cluster Self Test. The indicator is controlled by PCI Bus messages received from the Air Bag Control Module (ACM).
NOTE: The ACM will command the indicator on when the ignition is cycled to the Run/Start position.
With the DRBIII®, select Body, then MIC, read DTCs.Does the DRBIII® display Air Bag Lamp Open or Air Bag Lamp Shorted?Yes --> Refer to the service information and perform the appropriate symptom .Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 .No --> Replace the Instrument Cluster in accordance with the Service Information.Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 .
