Body - Interior & Exterior: Hood: Hood: Removal

1. Raise and support the hood.
2. Disconnect the underhood lamp wire harness connector.
3. Disconnect the windshield washer nozzles.
4. Disconnect the ground strap.
5. Mark the position of the hinges on the hood for installation alignment reference.
6. Remove the screws attaching the hood to the hinge and remove the hood. See Fig 1.
7. If the hood must be replaced, remove and transfer the insulator panel, hinges, latches, bumpers, brackets, footman loop, hood lamp, support rod, and safety latch to the replacement hood. See Fig 1.
