Module-Sentry Key Remote Entry: Installation

NOTE:
When a PCM and the SKREEM are replaced at the same time (Refer to ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - STANDARD PROCEDURE - PCM/SKREEM PROGRAMMING)
, and follow this order:
- Program the new PCM.
- Program the new SKREEM.
- Replace all ignition keys and program them to the new SKREEM.
- Position the SKREEM with the antenna ring around the ignition lock cylinder.
- Install the one mounting bolt holding the SKREEM to the ignition cylinder housing.
- Reach up behind the left side of the center stack and connect the ignition switch and SKREEM electrical connectors.
- Install the ignition cylinder by pushing it up through the instrument panel from behind, and install the screws (2).
- Install the ignition cylinder bezel by firmly pushing it into place.
- Install the cluster bezel (Refer to BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/CLUSTER BEZEL - INSTALLATION) .
- Install the steering column opening cover.
- Install the left silencer panel (2) underneath the instrument panel.
- Connect the battery negative cable.
NOTE:
On vehicles equipped with the optional Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS) if the SKREEM is replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to initialize the new SKREEM and to program at least two Sentry Key transponders before the vehicle can be operated (Refer to ELECTRICAL/VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY/SENTRY KEY REMOTE ENTRY MODULE - STANDARD PROCEDURE - SKIS INITIALIZATION) .
