Disc Brake Caliper Adapter: Removal

1 - CALIPER
2 - CALIPER BOLTS
3 - CALIPER ADAPTER BOLTS
4 - ADAPTER
5 - BRAKE HOSE
6 - BANJO BOLT WITH COPPER WASHERS
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the front wheel and tire assembly.
  3. Remove the caliper (1) (Refer to BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/DISC BRAKE CALIPERS - REMOVAL) .
  4. Remove the disc brake caliper (1) from the adapter (4).
    CAUTION: Never allow the disc brake caliper to hang from the brake hose. Damage to the brake hose will result. Provide a suitable support to hang the caliper securely.
  5. Remove the inboard and outboard brake pads. (Refer to BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/BRAKE PADS/SHOES - REMOVAL) .

    2 - KNUCKLE
    3 - CALIPER ADAPTER BOLTS
    4 - ROTOR
  6. Remove the caliper adapter mounting bolts (3).
