Upper Control Arm: Installation

1 - BOLT
2 - SPRING
3 - UPPER BALL JOINT
4 - KNUCKLE
5 - UPPER CONTROL ARM
  1. Install the upper control arm (5) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the nut and bolt (1) securing the upper control arm (5) to the body.
  3. Install the wheel speed sensor wire to the upper control arm (5).

    3 - KNUCKLE
    4 - UPPER BALL JOINT NUT
  4. Install the upper ball joint (2) into the knuckle (3).
  5. Install the upper ball joint retaining nut (4) and tighten the nut to 81 N.m (60 ft. lbs.).

  6. Install the inner fender well (2).
  7. Install the tire and wheel.
  8. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
  9. Perform a wheel alignment (Refer to SUSPENSION/WHEEL ALIGNMENT - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
