Crankshaft Position Sensor: Removal

- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Raise vehicle on hoist.
- Remove exhaust pipe to turbocharger down pipe retaining bolts and lower exhaust pipe from turbocharger downpipe.
- Disconnect crankshaft position sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the heat shield.
- Remove crankshaft position sensor retaining bolt and remove sensor from engine block. See Fig 1.
