Map Sensor: Removal: 2.4L

The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is mounted into the rear of the intake manifold. See Fig 1. An o-ring is used to seal the sensor to the intake manifold. See Figure.
- Disconnect electrical connector at sensor.
- Clean area around MAP sensor.
- Remove sensor mounting screw (TORX head).
- Remove MAP sensor from intake manifold.
- Check condition of sensor o-ring. See Figure.
