Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

Reach through the opening in the rear bumper fascia between the license plate and the lamp to access the socket on the back of the license plate lamp unit housing. See Fig 1.

1 - REAR BUMPER FASCIA

2 - LICENSE PLATE LAMP

3 - SOCKET

4 - BULB

Firmly grasp and pull the socket and bulb straight out of the opening in the back of the license plate lamp housing.
Pull the bulb straight out of the socket.
