Transmission Range Sensor: Removal

1 - SEAL

2 - MANUAL SHAFT

Remove valve body assembly from vehicle.(Refer to TRANSMISSION/AUTOMATIC - 42RLE/VALVE BODY - REMOVAL)
Remove the manual shaft seal (1). See Fig 1.

1 - SCREW

2 - TRS
Remove manual shaft/TRS retaining screw (1). See Fig 2.
Slide TRS off of manual valve shaft.
