Upper Control Arm: Removal

- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Support the rear axle with a hydraulic jack.
- Remove the ball joint pinch bolt from the top of the differential housing bracket. See Figure.
- Remove partial nuts from the heat shield in order to lower the shield down enough to get the proper clearance to remove the right side bolt from the body.
- Remove the upper suspension arm mounting bolts from the body and remove the arm. See Fig 1.
