Section 509 (Suspension System): Rear: Shock: Removal

Raise and support the vehicle. Position a hydraulic jack under the axle to support the axle.
CAUTION: Do not allow the axle to hang from the upper suspension arm ball joint.
Remove the upper nut and bolt from the frame bracket. See Fig 1.
Remove the lower nut and bolt from the axle bracket. Remove the shock absorber.
