Swing Gate: Latch: Installation

Install the latch and tighten the screws to 11 N.m (8 ft. lbs.).
Connect the electrical connector.
CAUTION: Make sure the latch wire harness is installed forward of the actuator rod.
Connect the actuator rod.
Insert a 5/32-inch hex-wrench through hole and into adjustment screw. Loosen screw. See Fig 1.
Operate outside handle several times to release any restriction because of misalignment.
Tighten adjustment screw to 3 N.m (30 in. lbs.)
Test handle for proper operation.
Install the trim panel and waterdam. (Refer to BODY/SWING GATE/TRIM PANEL - INSTALLATION) .
