Rocker Arms: Installation

- Clean and inspect gasket sealing surfaces.
- Install new gasket on cylinder head.
- Lubricate lifter ball end of lifter(s), valve(s), and rocker arm roller(s) with Mopar® Engine Oil Supplement or equivalent.NOTE: Add a small amount of grease to the tip of each valve to assist with rocker arm positioning.
- Connect rocker arm(s) to lifter and position on valve(s).NOTE: Care must be taken when installing the cylinder head cover/intake manifold. Failure to align the cover correctly may dislodge the rocker arm(s) from the valve stem.
- Install cylinder head cover/intake manifold (Refer to ENGINE/CYLINDER HEAD/CYLINDER HEAD COVER(S) - INSTALLATION) .
- Install inner timing belt cover (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN COVER(S) - INSTALLATION) .NOTE: Rotate the crankshaft to the 90 degree ATDC position (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
- Install timing belt (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN AND SPROCKETS - INSTALLATION) .
- Install outer timing belt cover (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN COVER(S) - INSTALLATION) .
- Install the power steering pump pulley.
- Install vibration damper.
- Install cooling fan support (Refer to COOLING/ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN - INSTALLATION) .
- Install accessory drive belt (Refer to COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS - INSTALLATION) .
- Install cooling fan and fan drive viscous clutch assembly. Refer to RADIATOR - FAN - VISCOUS .
- Refill cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Connect negative battery cable.
