Piston & Connecting Rod: Description

The pistons are of a free floating design. Oil jets in the engine block lubricate and cool the piston and pin assembly. The connecting rods have a pressed in place wrist pin bushing which is lubricated by the oil jets. Piston rod and bearing caps have cracked mating surfaces and are not interchangeable. See Fig 1.
