Flex Plate: Removal

  1. Remove the transmission (Refer to TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE/AUTOMATIC - 42RLE - REMOVAL) or (Refer to TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE/AUTOMATIC - 45RFE/545RFE - REMOVAL) .
  2. Paint mark the flex plate hub to flex plate relation.
  3. Remove the 40 mm flex plate bolts and flex plate. See Fig 1.
  4. Inspect flex plate for damage.
