Standard Procedure - Checking Crankshaft End Play

- Mount a dial indicator to a stationary point at rear of engine. Locate the probe perpendicular against the flywheel. See Fig 1.
- Move the crankshaft all the way to the front of its travel.
- Zero the dial indicator.
- Move the crankshaft all the way to the rear and read dial indicator. For crankshaft end play clearances (Refer to ENGINE - SPECIFICATIONS) .
