Brakes - Base: Shoes: Removal

1 - SUPPORT PLATE
2 - PARK BRAKE SHOES
3 - AXLE
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
  3. Remove the disc brake caliper. See Fig 1, (Refer to BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/DISC BRAKE CALIPERS - REMOVAL) .
  4. Remove the disc brake rotor. See Fig 1, (Refer to BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/ROTORS - REMOVAL) .

    1 - SUPPORT PLATE
    2 - PARK BRAKE SHOES
    3 - EQUALIZER
    4 - SPRINGS
    5 - HOLD DOWN CLIPS
    6 - ADJUSTER
  5. Disassemble the rear park brake shoes (2). See Fig 2.
