Removal - Rear Disc Brake Pads

- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove the wheel and tire assemblies.
- Compress the caliper (1).
- Remove the caliper slide pin bolts, (Refer to BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/DISC BRAKE CALIPERS - REMOVAL) .NOTE: Do not allow brake hose to support caliper assembly.
- Remove the caliper by tilting the top up and off the caliper adapter. See Fig 1.
1 - INBOARD BRAKE PAD 2 - OUTBOARD BRAKE PAD 3 - ANTI-RATTLE SPRING CLIP 4 - CALIPER ADAPTER - Support and hang the caliper.
- Remove the inboard brake pad (1) from the caliper. See Fig 2.
- Remove the outboard brake pad (2) from the caliper. See Fig 2.
