Thermostat Housing: Installation

  1. Clean all gasket sealing surfaces.
  2. Install gasket and housing. See Figure. Tighten bolts to 28 N.m (20 ft. lbs.).
  3. Connect engine coolant temperature sensor.
  4. Install thermostat (Refer to COOLING/ENGINE/ENGINE COOLANT THERMOSTAT - INSTALLATION) .
  5. Fill cooling system (Refer to COOLING - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
