Rear Axle - 8 1/4: Bearing-Axle: Removal

1 - RECEIVER
2 - AXLE BEARING
NOTE: Remove bearing with Bearing Remover 6310 and Foot 6310-9.
  1. Remove axle shaft.
  2. Remove axle seal with seal pick.
  3. Position bearing (2) receiver (1) on axle tube. See Fig 1.

  4. Insert bearing remover foot (3) through receiver (2) and bearing (1). See Fig 2.

    1 - NUT
    2 - BEARING
    3 - RECEIVER
    4 - SHAFT
  5. Tighten remove nut (1) on the shaft (4) to pull bearing into the receiver (3). See Fig 3.
