Removal & Installation

  1. Remove combination valve and master cylinder. Disconnect electrical connections as necessary. Disconnect vacuum hose from booster check valve. Remove retaining clip securing booster push rod to brake pedal, and slide rod off pin. Remove 4 nuts attaching power booster to front cowl panel.
  2. From engine compartment, slide booster studs out of cowl panel, and remove power booster. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure dash seal on power booster is installed. Lubricate pedal pin and bushing on power booster with lithium grease prior to installation. Tighten mounting nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
