Installation - Grab Handle Bezel
WARNING:
ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. SEE AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS
ARTICLE. THIS IS THE ONLY SURE WAY TO DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.
- Position the grab handle bezel onto the instrument panel.
- Install and tighten the two screws that secure the grab handle bezel to the upper glove box opening reinforcement. Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (20 INCH lbs.).
- Reinstall the glove box latch striker onto the glove box opening upper reinforcement. See GLOVE BOX LATCH & HANDLE .
- Reinstall the grab handle onto the instrument panel. See GRAB HANDLE .
- Reconnect the battery negative cable.
