Removal and Replacement

WINDOW REGULATOR

REMOVAL
1. Remove the waterdam.

2. Using a long flat blade or hook type tool, disengage clips attaching glass liftplate to the regulator (Fig. 12).
3. Secure glass in up position using a wood wedge, tape, or equivalent.

4. Remove the fasteners retaining the regulator (Fig. 13).
5. Disconnect the electrical harness from the regulator pigtail.
6. Remove the regulator.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the window regulator in the door.
2. Install the fasteners retaining the regulator and tighten to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.) (Fig. 13).
3. Connect the electrical harness and regulator pigtail connector.
4. Remove glass support and then position glass lift plate to regulator lift plate.
5. Engage clips attaching glass lift plate to regulator lift plate.
6. Install waterdam.
7. Cycle the glass and check for proper operation.
