Power Trunk / Liftgate Lock Actuator: Service and Repair

LATCH CONTROL ASSEMBLY

REMOVAL
1. Remove the liftgate insulator pad.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

3. Disconnect the outside handle link from the latch. (Fig. 12)
4. Open the plastic retention clips and separate the latch cables from the control assembly.

Fig. 13:

5. Remove the three bolts and remove the control assembly. (Fig. 13)

INSTALLATION
1. Install the control assembly.
2. Install the three bolts and tighten to 10 N.m (90 in. lbs.).
3. Connect the outside handle link.
4. Connect the latch cables.
5. Connect the electrical connector.
6. Adjust the outside handle.
7. Adjust the latch cables.
8. Install the liftgate insulator pad.
