SYMPTOM
NO PASSENGER SIDE IMPACT SENSOR COMMUNICATION

WHEN MONITORED
The ACM continuously communicates with the Passenger Side Impact Sensor over the sensor signal circuit. The sensor communication and onboard diagnostics are powered by the ACM signal.


SET CONDITION
The code will set, if the ACM and Passenger Side Impact Sensor do not establish and maintain valid data communications.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Signal circuit shorted to battery
- Signal circuit short to ground
- Passenger side sensor circuits shorted together
- Ground circuit open
- Signal circuit open
- ACM, passenger side impact sensor
- Repair is complete
- Stored code or intermittent condition
- Active code present
