Removal & Installation: CLOCKSPRING: Notes

CAUTION:
Damage to clockspring is possible. If clockspring rotor changes position in relation to steering components, clockspring can be damaged or break. Perform clockspring centering procedure if unsure of clockspring rotor position or clockspring rotor has moved. See CLOCKSPRING
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
NOTE:
Place front wheels in the straight-ahead position prior to removing steering wheel.
If driver-side air bag has deployed, clockspring must be replaced with new part.
If driver-side air bag has deployed, clockspring must be replaced with new part.
